January 19 – Pray that we would have wisdom as a church

Theme:

Pray that we would have wisdom as a church

Devotional:

Whenever I find myself needing answers to questions, whether big or small, I often turn to family, friends, or the “almighty Google” for some understanding. While this can work for finding out how many grams an egg white weighs, or looking for images of “ninja kittens”, it doesn’t always work for the bigger things. The tougher or more serious the question, the less likely we are to find the good and moral answer that we really need. That’s why we need to seek God and His wisdom when we’re looking for advice or guidance within the church. God cares about our church family- and seeking His earnest, gracious and firm wisdom should be our FIRST response. Because God will give us a deeply personal answer, not one written by an AI algorithm.

Prayer:

Gracious Lord, I pray that during this new and exciting season for our church, that we always seek Your wisdom first. Not just with the big things, but with everything that we find we need guidance with. That with each step we take, we consult You first, so that we can be led by You completely and wholly, to fulfill the mission that You have for us, as a church and also within our community.

  1. I wonder how much time folks from LCC are gonna spend googling “ninja kittens” today! Great thoughts…. I am hoping 21 Days is a true declaration of our dependence on God as a church!
