Theme:
Pray that God would save unbelievers through our ministry this year.
Read the verse below. “My heart’s desire…is that they may be saved.” Paul was serious.
There are a lot of things that my heart desires, but the salvation of unbelievers is not always readily at the top of my list. Why not? Shouldn’t it be? Shouldn’t it be our heart’s desire, as individuals and as a church body, for the number of Christ-followers to expand?
Yes.
Shouldn’t it be our heart’s desire that, when an unbeliever walks through our doors or joins one of our studies or talks with us over a cup of coffee (or, rather, a Diet Coke if you’re like me), they see in us a genuine heart’s desire for them to be saved? May this be a year that our ministry is fueled more than ever by a heart’s desire in line with Abba God’s heart’s desire for unbelievers to seek Him and find Him and be saved. And may the result be an expansion of those who believe in Him!
Prayer:
Abba God, I pray that you would break our hearts for what breaks Yours: unbelievers not knowing the gift of salvation through Your Son Jesus. May our heart’s desire be that our ministry is a vessel You use to bring unbelievers to Yourself and that they would be saved! Amen.
