Theme: Posture of Humility

Devotion: Humbleness means to recognize that we as individuals and as the church are not self-sufficient, rather we depend on God for all we need, after all, all we have comes from Him.

Jesus is the greatest example for the church to pattern their actions after, if they want to be known as a church of humility.

We are to follow Christ example. Jesus was approachable, we need to be recognized as an approachable church, all are welcome who want to come and praise and worship God.

We need to be willing to serve as Jesus did. We as Christian are given special abilities that we are to use to serve where there is a need and our abilities can be used, not for a pat on our back or to be seen, but for God’s glory

We are to live in submission to God and in service to others. This is a virtue that reflects the character of Christ and is essential for spiritual growth and maturity of us individually and as a church.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we come to you as individuals and as members of LCC asking that you will guide and show us the way of Humility. Show us how we can get self out of the picture and place You and others in the proper place on the ladder. In your precious Son’s name, Amen.
