January 24 – Pray that more people would volunteer

Theme:

Pray that more people would volunteer to be involved

Devotional:

Jesus reminds us that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. God’s mission has never lacked opportunity—only availability. In Acts, the church listened, prayed, and responded when the Holy Spirit called people to serve. Volunteering is not about filling slots; it’s about answering God’s invitation to participate in what He is already doing. Each gift and skill matters. As we pray, God not only sends workers—He shapes hearts to say yes. Ask the Lord where He may be calling you to serve, and trust that He equips those He sends.

Prayer:

Lord, stir our hearts to serve. Call, equip, and send us where You desire. Amen.

  1. “God’s mission has never lacked opportunity… only availability.”. That’s a powerful statement Cindy, thank you!”

  2. I agree. It is easier for me to say no, I’m not qualified. Then to say yes, and ask God to equip me. Dave
