Fighting Fire

Theme:

Pray that God would exalt His name in the world and that God would extend His kingdom in the world.

Devotional:

God is at war. A kingdom of darkness has usurped God’s reign and rule over planet earth. Human beings have sided with God’s enemy and given over the rule of the cosmic geography of planet earth to evil powers, authorities, and rulers. When we pray “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,” we invoke His rightful reign and rule over places and spaces on this planet – in our town, in our homes, in our bodies. We exercise our authority to invite Him back as rightful King. Already His Kingdom breaks through, but not yet entirely, we await His return for the complete restoration. Even now wherever and whenever there are breakthroughs of healing and deliverance, His name is exalted throughout the heavenlies.

Prayer:

We surrender to you as rightful King over our church, our homes, our business, our work, our friendships, our hobbies, ourselves. May the blessing of your Kingdom break through to bring healing and victory already now on earth as it will forever be in heaven. We invite you to defeat and muzzle the evil around us as we invoke you as rightful King over all that is under our authority. May you be exalted in all the earth. Amen
